Organizations such as the United Way Central Florida (UWCF), the Central Florida Community Development Corporation (CFCDC), and the University of Central Florida (UCF) Center have been instrumental in transforming the community of Central Florida. The UWCF works to foster community change by increasing donor money with local contributions, bringing together partners to enhance efficiency, and negotiating services that generate the best possible return on investment in areas of greatest need. The CFCDC is a non-profit organization that provides affordable housing, stimulates investment in struggling communities, and improves the quality of life for low- to moderate-income households. Through an FCLF revolving line of credit, the CFCDC has constructed homes that were sold to low-income families in Volusia and Brevard Counties.
The UCF Center serves as a comprehensive resource for best practices in advancing community schools through technical assistance, evaluation, and university attendance, driving continuous improvement and better outcomes for students, families, and communities. The UCF Center has also been successful in establishing 36 community association schools throughout Florida that serve more than 33,000 students and their communities. United Way Central Florida brings together community leaders through a variety of philanthropic, volunteer, and networking opportunities. Additionally, Circle Central Florida's financial initiatives were established by a team of leaders from Circle, Circle Allies, and other experts in the area. The agency is headquartered in North Central Florida and its headquarters are in Gainesville, Florida. Thanks to existing partnerships with Franklin Park and Fort Myers Middle elementary schools, the school now has frameworks to improve the school's food pantry and clothing closet.
Furthermore, plans are being developed to fund these initiatives throughout Central Florida. The pilot project has been highly successful through the Circles headquarters in West Orange.
